You may not believe it by looking at me now, but I was an athlete in high school. I was also in band and choir and school plays. I played basketball and softball when I went to vocational school in Thief River Falls. I was also in jazz band and jazz choir.

Today I watch sports but I have never stopped singing and I still play my trumpet ... and I am a mother of four, the oldest of which is 30. So, I am ... old(er).

I have watched three of my four children go through the band program in Roseau and it has been a struggle. My youngest was ready to quit band after 8th grade. H...
