Wannaska's Ed Dunham is now on cruise control

You can't throw a hammerlock on Ed and force him to open up. He's too powerful and, besides, he's an old boxer with fast hands.

There is one other thing.

At 70, he'd just as soon forget his military service during the Vietnam War. That's what he said last weekend before he began opening up.

He's a veteran who did his duty, but he's not looking for any accolades.

Dunham, who graduated from Roseau High School in 1965, was never destined to become a jockey - not at just under six feet and tipping the scales at 220.
