She's Out of jail for good

Sharon Hetteen has spent almost as much time inside a jail as on the outside over the past four decades.

Still, she never had to run a tin cup across the bars and yell, "I want out of this joint!"

In fact, she has a spotless record and served as a full-time jailer/dispatcher since 1984. She retired on Wednesday, July 11, at a big shindig at the Roseau County Courthouse.

Oh, there are a couple of other things - she doesn't wear brass knuckles and she smiles frequently.
