    Roseau Rams Girls Hockey wins 3rd place in Eden Prairie and JV takes 4th The Rams Girls varsity and JV hockey teams both had good showings at the annual Mid-Winter Meltdown tournament in Eden Prairie from December 27-29. In three one goal games, the varsity Rams beat Eagan 5-4 in OT, lost 1-0 to eventual champ Minnetonka, and then beat Benilde-St. Margaret’s 2-1 in OT to earn the 3rd place trophy in the eight team tournament. This game was the first meeting between the Rams and Warriors since last February’s classic Section 8AA four overtime championship game victory that sent Roseau to the state tournament.     The Rams Girls Hockey Team took the ice at Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls on Tuesday, November 28th to challenge the undefeated Prowlers. For years, the outcomes of the games between the two rivals have been close. That trend continued in the first of two matchups this season as the Prowlers defeated the Rams by a 2-1 score. The Rams then faced St. Cloud on February 14th in the semi-finals and knocked off the Icebreakers 4-2. On Thursday, February 2nd at the Gardens in Warroad, the Warriors beat the Rams 6-2.
