    Jeff Olsen|Feb 1, 2020

For every pretty girl or woman who has ever smiled at me, this column is dedicated to you. Oh, I've known some pretty women and here it is, almost Groundhog's Day, and I don't have an original thought in my head. Once, I could pick up a newspaper, see some exotic headline, and a column would dance in my head. Right now, I'm feeling fearful. What if my fingers won't work. Not a bad excuse. I think I'll call the blonde - the boss - and say, "I can't move my fingers. You get nothing this week. I'm...

  • Two Words That Say It All

    Pastor Joe|Feb 1, 2020

I have never recovered from reading Rabbi Abraham Heschel's probing book, Man's Quest for God. It is written to Jewish worshipers, but there's a strong message there for all of us; particularly Christians. In Chapter one he writes: "To the man of our age nothing is as familiar and nothing as trite as words. Of all things they are the cheapest, and most abused and least regarded. They are the object of frequent defilement. We all live in them, feel in them, think in them, but failing to uphold...
