Last weekend in the 2-day event in Fergus Falls, the boys golf team came out of the woods.

"We did considerably better this weekend," coach Mike Lundbohm said on Sunday.

They didn't walk off with the trophy, but they made some big strides.

"We finished 5th out of 7," he said, with Detroit Lakes, Moorhead, and Crookston finishing in the top 3, followed by Fergus Falls, Roseau, and Thief River Falls.

Junior Bryden Stoskopf saw his first action of the season and did not disappoint.
