Mitchel Norberg, the new part-time deputy sheriff for Roseau County, came walking down the hallway at the Sheriff's Department in Roseau on a recent afternoon, and he is a country boy who can look rumpled at times.

Which is understandable.

Mr. Norberg has some girth.

The last time he possibly wore a medium sized t-shirt was in elementary school.

But he's no slowpoke.

The 2013 Roseau High School graduate runs pretty regularly and hails from Skime in rural Roseau, a neck of the woods that has almost as many characters as it does deer.
