Roseau - Phyllis J. Fitzgerald passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016 at the LifeCare Roseau Manor.

Phyllis was born on June 7, 1933 in rural Roseau to Gerda (Edberg) and Louis Olson. She attended country school in Skime. She worked as a maid in the Bozeman area of Drayton, N.D., before marrying Robert “Paul” Fitzgerald in 1950, and they were married for 47 years.

After moving to Woodland, Calif. in 1961 she worked as a nurse’s aide for several years, then worked for Contadina Tomato Factory. They later moved back to Minnesota. She worked for a short time at 7 Clans Casino in Warr...
