Brewing beer, launching a rocket, shearing sheep?

Only Kate Hammer, the new librarian with a flair for making things interesting, knows that answer.

But she knows a winner when she sees one.

On Thursday, October 27, David and Diane Lee put on a lefse making presentation.

"We had 30 people," said Hammer, smiling when asked if this was the first ever lefse-making class at the library.

"It is!" she said with the enthusiasm of the Galloping Gourmet.

She explained that the same presentation was made earlier this fall at the Thief River Falls Library.
