At the Sub-Section 8AA girls golf meet held at the Thief River Golf Club on Tuesday, the Lady Rams were never expected to contend for one of the top 3 spots in the team competition.

But there were six open spots in the individual competition, and the Rams did not disappoint.

Leading the charge was Ram junior Gina Wensloff, who earned medalist honors with 81.

She punched her ticket to the individual section competition next Monday and Tuesday in Bemidji.

Also advancing in the individual competition was freshman Kilah LaPlante, who shot 101 for the 6th and final spot.
