Legion Lads head into playoffs on a win

 


It was just the kind of warm-up that Roseau American Legion Post #24 needed as they defeated Kittson County Central on Sunday in Kennedy.

The lads never trailed as they took a 2-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning, which KCC cut to 2-1 in the bottom of the 3rd.

Then came the big thunder as Post #24's bats buried KCC with a 10-run 4th inning.

With another run in the top of the 5th and Gabe Carlson pitching a 3 hitter, the lads won 13-1 in 5 innings.

"We played well today," said coach Josh Weckman, crediting Gabe's performance on the mound and at the plate.
