Right away, late in the game with time running out and the Vikings doing absolutely nothing right and New Orleans having just kicked the apparent game-winning field goal with 29 seconds remaining, many of us thought quietly to ourselves, "Why me, Lord? What have I ever done to deserve this?"
Forever, in these playoffs, the Minnesota Vikings have been like a cheating wife - a miserable, unfaithful shrew who flaunts all her faults.
On Sunday evening, it all came back to any of us who have had our hearts broken by the Vikings in numerous playoff games over the decades.
