A week ago Friday evening in Menahga, the Rams were hoping for maybe one victory since they were competing in 10 of the 14 weight classes.

One positive for the Rams, according to assistant coach Scott Mooney, is the work ethic of these 10 varsity Rams.

"I thought we had a chance with Deer River," he said. He later noted that they had more than a chance against all three teams.

"Our wrestlers really stepped up and performed well. In the last dual of the night, we had an injury so we gave them 30 points even before wrestling a match," said Coach Mooney, impressed with the results.
