Wrestlers edge the Fertile Falcons, 33-29

A week ago Thursday in Fertile, the Rams squeaked by the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons in a contest which really came down to two important matches.

At 138, senior Owen Gross went the distance in winning on a 12-5 decision over Damian Gudvangen.

That 3-point decision could have been flipped around and, had his opponent won by a pin, even a lucky pin, the Rams would have lost.

So, Owen wrestled a smart match and got the job done for the Rams.

Another big performance was at 160 where junior Dale Grindahl pinned Justin Boit at the 5:05 mark of the third period.
