Rebecca Rosenkrans Inherited Her Creative Spirit

"I've always been a jewelry junkie," said Rebecca Rosenkrans, owner of Bead Gypsy now located at 101 Main Ave. N., on the corner of Main and Center St. in Roseau. "Maybe because I grew up in a large family and there wasn't money for extras like jewelry. The first jewelry I ever made was out of a long necklace of my mother's. I made bracelets for my four sisters, my sister-in-law, my mom and myself."

Rebecca's mother, Minnesota artist Frances Karlsson, is well-known for her watercolors reflecting the farm life she lived with husband Karl Einar Karlsson on a small grain and dairy farm,...
