On Saturday, April 21, Roseau Fire Department took part in a training burn at a house south of the Roseau Fairgrounds.
A training burn builds the confidence in a firefighters fundamental skills with their breathing apparatus, hose handling skills, learning to find the seat of the fire and use the proper extinguishment, direct attack or indirect attack, for that particular type of fire. Firefighters get the opportunity to work as a team and build confidence in their team members.
