Chuck's Wagon 40th Roseau County Fair

 

At six years old, Chuck Erickson got his first experience working at the Roseau County Fair.

"Our next door neighbors, Vernon and Eileen Grand, had a popcorn wagon at the fair," Chuck recalled. "They paid me twenty-five cents for inserting sticks into a box of caramel apples. There were 150 apples in each box."

Chuck continued to work in Grand's Popcorn Wagon every summer at the fair until he graduated high school.

"In 1979 Eileen called and asked if I wanted to buy their popcorn wagon and that's how I got started with Chuck's Wagon."
