I started cutting hay yesterday. For the last few years the number of ravens that show up for an easy meal has kept getting bigger. The field I was cutting gets cut in two parcels, one is fifty acres and the other about four. I made a few rounds on the big one and decided to cut the small one. When almost done with the small one a sharptail hen with a clutch of chicks showed up. I stopped the tractor and tried to shoo them into the brush line that was about twenty-five yards a way.
