County Auditor Wants a Word With Voters

 


Times have changed. Once, voting at the old schoolhouse was the social event of the season in most rural townships.

Some of the old bachelors even took a bath for the big event of voting. Now the old polling places are as rare as telephone booths.

Roseau County Auditor Martie Monsrud recently added nine more townships to the list of mail-ballot precincts.

"We have a flyer for mail-ballot voters. If you live in a mail-ballot precinct, you will be mailed your ballot instead of going to a polling place to vote," she said.

Yes, the times are changing.
