To the Editor,

The fair has come and gone one more time. It is starting to look, feel, and smell like fall. Almost everyone I talked to said it was way on the dry side, but remembering past years almost said it in a whisper and didn’t really dare wish for rain. It takes a long time to get really dry and only minutes to get really wet. If happiness is a large gut pile I was definitely not the only happy person there.
