Mark your calendars for the Annual Firefighter Barbecue and Ball, September, 22nd. The barbecue will be served at the fire hall from 5 to 8 p.m. and the ball will be held at Genes starting at 8:30. Music will be provided by Eagle Creek.
The firemen have been preparing for their event for months. It is their biggest fundraiser of the year.
Just like everything else, there is a cost in maintaining a fire department and the equipment. They need to raise funds for upgrading worn out turnout gear, equipment, tankers and trucks. This is all possible through donations made from area businesses and pe...
