Only the deaf would miss out on the happy chatter along the downstairs hallway at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau.

They meet every second Tuesday of the month.

"We average about seven to eight a meeting," said Connie Borowicz, an LPN in the Endoscopy Department who moderates these meetings and is also a breast cancer survivor.

"Sometimes we have as many as 16 to 17 who attend," she said several days before the October meeting.

"We're downstairs in building N4. It's the same entrance that you enter to go upstairs to Cardiac Rehab and Infusion Therapy," she said.

"We have a lot of new women...
