Breast Cancer Awareness Month hits close to home for myself and my family.

My sister-in-law Dyan passed away August 28, 2012 from breast cancer. She was only 42 years old.

Dyan and my brother started dating when they were both still in high school. Dyan was the same age as myself, so we became quite close.

We Built houses, got married and had our boys all the same years as each other.

When Dyan was diagnosed with breast cancer I wasn't naive that it can be a life-threatening disease. But had I ever thought it would take her life? No! Dyan was a fighter.
