Of course I had to inspect the new bridge over the Roseau River on County Road 126 south of Roseau.
It's hard to shake off Oliver Ullman, who I've known since he was about nine and who kept inviting me to stop out and see this bridge.
It's an impressive bridge for a rural road.
The outfit is Swingen Construction out of Grand Forks, but the crew is mostly local if you consider Baudette, Goodridge and even Bemidji as local. Construction started in late July.
I'm walking on the muddy road toward this big cement bridge on Monday with Pat Gubbels, the foreman who is a happy camper.
