A Most Memorable Veterans Day Program at RHS

As the youngest elementary students excitedly entered the Roseau High School gymnasium on Monday afternoon, they brought a smile to Curt Wiskow's face.

He is 89 now, and his father and uncle are in the history books. The two brothers were Doughboys who served in France and are long dead now because nobody lives forever.

Mr. Wiskow was introduced by his nephew, Lt. Col. Val Bernat (U.S. Army retired), who was dressed in a most unusual uniform that is so special that it belongs in the Smithsonian Institute.
