Hunting is a family affair for the coles

It was a cool dark morning the first day of opening deer season when Kelly Cole made his way to his deer stand south of Swift.

"There was an east wind, so deer had to walk into the wind when approaching my stand," explained Kelly.

Hunting is a family affair in the Cole family. Kelly's 10 year old son Monte was in a deer stand southwest of Kelly, with Kelly's dad, Mark Cole. Kelly's oldest son, Cody, 16, was in his deer stand to the northwest, with Kelly's brother Matt and his four kids in four stands to the west and southwest. Kelly's daughter Jordyn, 14, also hunts.
