Ram wrestlers crown four champs at Crookston Tourney

It's always a big thrill for a wrestler to win his first varsity tournament.

Last Saturday at the Rodd Olson Invite in Crookston, Race Knochenmus and Sawyer Klatt came charging into the winners' circle, joining Chandler Mooney and Ben Olson on top of the podium.

Following a first round bye, Race Knochenmus won on a first period pin over Mahnomen-Waubun's David Rock at the 1:11 mark to advance to the 138 pound finals against New York Mills' Gabe Geiser.

In a smartly wrestled match, the Ram sophomore won on a 4-1 decision to claim his first varsity title.
