Anders Dokken is RC's First Baby of 2019

On Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 9:07 p.m., Carrie Dokken gave birth to Roseau County's first baby of 2019 at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau.

Meet Anders Rivers Oswald Dokken and his proud parents, Kevin and Carrie, who hail from Piney, Manitoba, Canada, which is one reason why LifeCare Medical Center qualifies as an international hospital.

On Friday morning, barely 14 hours after giving birth and not having slept a wink, Carrie was nonetheless in great spirits.

"We came through the Roseau Port of Entry on Thursday. We actually came in at 3 p.m. and the baby was born caesarian," she said.
