Roseau - Evelyn Florence Sonsteng was born August 27, 1919, to Charles and Anna Johnson. Evelyn departed this life in the certain hope of eternal life on January 2, 2019.

Evelyn was born and baptized in Sandstone. At the age of 1-1/2 her family moved to Center City, and soon moved to Forest Lake, where she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and graduated from high school.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Hans Sonsteng in 1960 and they made their home in Kenyon and Cottage Grove.
