Roseau - Rodney William Galyn Olson was born in Greenbush on May 9, 1954, to John and Ethel (Monsrud) Olson. He attended elementary school in Wannaska and high school in Roseau, graduating in 1972. After high school he attended Alexandria Technical College, graduating with an Engineering degree. He worked at Marvin Windows and Doors in Warroad for a short time before starting at Polaris Industries, where he worked for 27 years.
