A new drug has hit the county.

"It's a legal substance," said Garrett Berg, adding that it has detrimental health effects.

Last week, Mr. Berg, sitting in a small, windowless room at the Roseau County Sheriff's Department with Chief Deputy Tobi Eidsmoe, was asked if he was an undercover drug agent and, perhaps, he didn't want to be identified.

"Everybody knows me," he said.

This is understandable. He looks like a younger version of Cheech Marin of Cheech & Chong fame.

Except that he's armed and on a mission.
