Crookston wrestlers defeat Rams, 36-28

A week ago Thursday evening at the RHS gymnasium, eighth grader Bodee Hovda showed great heart as he battled a tough opponent in Crookston's Ethan Bowman, a crafty matman who tried to turn a determined Bodee every way but loose before pinning him at the 4:52 mark of the third period.

Once Bodee gets more experience on the varsity, he will be just fine.

With Crookston winning on forfeit at 120, 126 and 132, the Pirates led 24-0 before the fans had choked on a single popcorn kernel.

Then, it was time for sophomore Race Knochenmus to punch in and go to work at 138.
