Wrestlers win two of three duals at Oklee

What a perfect time for eighth grader Bodee Hovda to come charging into the winner's circle a week ago Friday in Oklee.

In his three varsity matches during the quadrangular, Bodee pinned Red Lake County's Gunnar Sandeen (3:10) and then, in the dual against Park Rapids Area, he pinned Eli Burton (3:05) to propel the team to victory.

At 113, Bodee Hovda shot the Rams into the initial lead with his second period pin.

With double forfeits at 120 and 126, Joey Schneider at 132 was pinned at the 1:19 mark by Oscar Duden to tie the contest at 6-6.
