My friend, Tallahassee Slim, who lives in a gated community, recently sunburned his toes when he stuck them out his bedroom window in Fort Myers, Florida, and promptly fell asleep.
"They're quite tender, but it's not as bad as frostbite," he chuckled.
While the rest of us suckers up here are shoveling snow, hauling wood and slipping on the ice and breaking hips and legs, Slim marvels at what a wonderful life he has since he left Roseau.
"Miss it?" he said. "Get serious! Were you dropped on your head?"
