On February 17-19 the Women of Today Chapters from Roseau, Greenbush, Warroad, Lake of the Woods and Baudette hosted a group of 25 girls on a trip to the Minnesota State Capitol. The girls were in grades 8-12 .

The event hosted by Minnesota Women's Consortium and the Department of Human Services is called Girls Rock the Capitol!

While there, they learned and discussed the three branches of government, how a bill becomes a law, how to vote, and how to do a mock committee hearing.

They were given a tour of the Capitol Building which included being able to sit in on a live Senate Session...
