County Board approves biggest highway contract

At the Roseau County Board meeting on Tuesday morning, the commissioners unanimously approved a multimillion dollar road construction project.

"Knife River Materials out of Bemidji was the low bidder. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but it was about $4.6 million for a seven-mile project," said Commissioner Jack Swanson.

"It will go from Skime to just north of County Road 4," he said, adding that the construction would start sometime in June.
