Warroad Fourth Graders Dig In For Nature

Take 60 plus Warroad fourth graders, break them out of school for an afternoon field trip to the Warroad School Forest on Thursday, May 9, give them some tips on the importance of trees, then let them loose to plant the seedlings, and it was a blast.
Oh, and one last thing, they named their trees.
That was the word from Mike Nooker, Wannaska Area forester in charge of the event, and Mrs. Courtney Baade, who teaches fourth grade science and social studies.
