Meet some of the characters on a special day

 

On Memorial Day, they were standing in the parking lot across the street from the Roseau City Center.

It was before 9 a.m., and a number of older military gentlemen with vast shades of gray in their hair, some even pure white and dressed smartly in their Honor Guard uniforms, stood close together like any GIs do in their down time.

They were shooting the breeze.

It was an old Army grunt who approached them and remarked, "At ease, men! I'll be in the company area all day."

It brought back memories.
