Roseau - Joseph "Bud" Gary Roller went to his eternal home on July 1, 2019 in Roseau, at the age of 95. Joseph was born on Feb. 12, 1924 in Grand Forks, N.D. to Joseph Sr. and Maude (Kleven) Roller.

Joe grew up near Riverside Park in Grand Forks, the oldest of three children. After graduating from Central High School in 1942, he worked and later bought Roller Office Supply from his father. He retired in 1984 after selling to his son, Bob, making this the 3rd generation for Roller Office Supply.

Joe's first love was his family, of which he was very proud. He married Donna Offerdahl in 1945 and had three children. Joseph's other loves include; being a Charter Member of the Civil Air Patrol, and active member of the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. (EAA). He was an avid gardener, loved to play the organ, and was a jack of all trades that could fix or invent anything. Joe's positive attitude and great sense of humor will leave everlasting memories and "one liner" life lessons for his 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

He is survived by his brother, Jim Roller of Grand Forks; sister, Joannie Goehl of Minnetonka; children, Bob (Vonnie) Roller and Bill (Cheryl) Roller of Bozeman, Mont., and Sandy (Mike) Baumgartner of Roseau, grandchildren, Lisa (Jamie) Byfuglien, Jody Baumgartner, Paul (Nikole) Baumgartner all of Roseau, Kristen (Allen) Stockwell of Deer River, Ashley (Dave) Casto, Ryan Roller, Matthew (Jackie) Roller and Rachel (Connor) Hausauer all of Bozeman; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
