Introducing Bear Creek Wildlife Management Area

It's off the beaten track if you're a city slicker, but Bear Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA) on the far northwestern edge of the Beltrami Island State Forest possibly is the best kept secret in the woods.

Scott Laudenslager and Gary Johnson, a couple of gents who know their way around the woods, were recently touting the newly constructed Bear Creek Wildlife Management Area trail, approximately a mile in length and circular in shape, as a great trail to hunt grouse or whatever.

Laudenslager credits the Lake of the Woods Rough Grouse Society for the new addition to Bear Creek WMA.
