The Remarkable Allen Brandt Made His Mark

It's funny about a workplace.

Everyday, somebody gets hired, fired, retires or just moves on, and some of them are really missed.

That's the case with Allen Brandt, 60, who retired on Friday, August 2, from the Roseau County Highway Department after 18 years.

Oh, he had worked other jobs - Marvins and Polaris, farming, and designing t-shirts.

He's still working.

Just the other day, he was on his tractor working a field out in Malung, maybe occasionally thinking of the crew he left behind.

They haven't forgotten him.
