The annual Nickel Trophy game between the Roseau and Warroad football teams went true to form, as it was a close one down to the last minute. The 21st Nickel Bowl was a defensive affair with each team being held under 200 yards of total offense respectively. The first quarter was a back and forth affair with neither team gaining an advantage.
Early in the second quarter Warroad capped off a seven play drive with a 3 yard quarterback sneak by Warroad’s Cooper Cole. The two point conversion failed and Warroad had a 6-0 lead. The momentum changed on the ensuing kicko...
