Meet an impressive self-starter at RHS

Step into Roseau High School Assistant Principal Kelsey Johnson's office and there are no brass knuckles, sawed-off canoe paddles, or handcuffs.

The days of corporal punishment are long gone.

Mrs. Johnson, the dean of students, can find a diamond in the rough on a moment's notice.

"Here's a great kid," she said earlier this week, mentioning senior Mattias Huglen, a gem of a lad who applies himself every single day.
