DON'T LET YOUR BELIEVING BE DECEIVING

What does it mean to "believe" as the Bible uses the word? I've been aware for quite some time that we need to be careful how we understand the word believe in God's Word. I've recently had this reinforced in a book my wife and I are reading in connection with our adult Sunday School class which is being lead by Darrin Smedsmoe. Go Darrin! Before I get into this, however, I want to raise up what may be the best known verse in the Bible, John 3:16. It contains the word believe, but we ought not to rush by this word too quickly.
