After a regular season that saw the Rams climb up the Section 8A rankings, the girls entered the playoffs as the #5 ranked team and opened play against the #4 seeded Crookston Pirates. Roseau had lost to Crookston 4-3 near the end of the regular season, so it looked like a close match was at hand.
In the quarterfinal round against Crookston, familiar faces led the way for Roseau. Playing at 1st doubles, Kiersten Flaig/Lindsay McFarlane needed tiebreakers in both of their sets but prevailed in a 7-6(4), 7-6(7) match. Another close match at 3rd doubles went the Rams' way,...
