Since 2014, the state of Minnesota provides funding to counties each year to prevent the introduction and limit the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS). The Lake of the Woods and Roseau County Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCD) partner together to jointly utilize the legislative appropriation to address AIS on Lake of the Woods.
