Badger- Violet passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the age of 85.
Violet Ann Prefek was born February 14, 1934, to John and Mary (Horvath) Prefek at South Junction, Manitoba, Canada. At age three Violet and her family settled north of Roseau. At age 16 her family moved south of Badger.
On December 15, 1962, she married John Svir of Badger and settled on the Svir family farm. They lived there until 1972. They moved into Badger where they raised three daughters.
