Once, he could stride gracefully through the deep snow while checking his trapline.
Those were the days.
On Monday, he was spotted coming out of his barn, walking in baby steps like he was maneuvering through a mine field, which is what his icy driveway is like these days.
It's hell to get old.
"I'm the youngest of my family and the last one left," said the 1938 model.
He isn't on his last legs.
He was a working man all his life, and he had a good woman. Nothing beats a good woman.
But more about that later.
He was remembering his youth when it was a better time - tougher time...
