The young lady, a senior, had just entered the Roseau High School Principal's Office, possibly stopping by to say hi to one of the secretaries, when they chose her.
"Here's Brooke Zagone," said Mary Jo Preteau, who had been assisting Dan Urness, the RHS Guidance Counselor, in his quest for a student to highlight the day before Thanksgiving.
What a highlight!
Brooke, a statuesque brunette and the daughter of Nick and Kriste Zagone, is a ray of sunshine every day of the week and a true sport.
She could have said, "No!"
