It's Sunday, it's snowing, and I'm not in church.

I attend church in the pines. There is no building, no preacher, and no collection plate.

I just step outside and talk to God - mano a mano.

He does not talk to me.

Usually, I just silently say to God, "This is one crazy world. There are so many nuts with guns and knives and hate."

Down in Texas on Sunday, a maniac opened fire at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas, and it was over in six seconds.

He was shot dead by armed security guards, no doubt ushers who were packing, and they shot the dirty skunk dead....
